ESTONIA AS A SIGN

SEMINAR
September 27th, 1996
at the Estonian Academy of Arts

Seminar was organized in connection with the 4th annual exhibition of the Soros Center for Contemporary Arts, Estonia, “Estonia as a Sign” (26.09. – 13.10. 1996; curator Ants Juske). The themes and theoretical problems of the conference were the same as in the visual form of the artists’ works at the exhibition: relations between national and international, new interpretations of Estonia (as nation, language and territory) in contemporary world, which could be the sign of Estonia today.
