III ORGANIZING OF THE ANNUAL EVENT; SEMINARS, CONFERENCES

Annual event is like a model of the activity of the CCA, Estonia, expressing the purposes and ideology, which form the basis of the activity of the office. Annual event can be an exhibition, conference or a complex of art events, its purpose is to deal with the significant and important questions of contemporary art. From the year 1993 to 1997 five annual exhibitions of the CCA, Estonia took place. Annual event in 2000 was the complex of events, consisting of the international conference ‘Art and Society in the 1990s’, accompanied by the publication of the series of articles ‘Nosy nineties’; In 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2001 the line of international conferences and exhibitions in the field of new media – ‘Interstanding’ – was organized by the office. Seminars and conferences have accompanied the exhibitions (‘Estonia as a Sign’) on the anniversary of the CCA, Estonia (‘Looking forward…’) or in co-operation with other institutions (‘Action – Reflection’). From 2002 a new series of seminars and publications has been initiated – "Addenda to Estonian art history" (most recent book in that series is “Moral Choises”, 2006) – that can be seen sort of a continuation of the collection of a continuation of the collection of articles ‘Nosy Nineties’.
